The Slack integration lets Felan receive relevant channel messages and post responses in Slack. The OAuth connection belongs to the selected Felan team.

Setup

1

Open Integrations

Select the Felan team that should use Slack, then open Integrations from the main navigation.
2

Connect Slack

Find Slack, click Connect, select the Slack workspace, and complete the OAuth authorization flow.
3

Add Felan to channels

In Slack, add the Felan app to each channel where it should receive messages and post replies.

Supported behavior

  • Receive relevant messages from connected Slack channels
  • Preserve channel and thread context for Felan sessions
  • Post messages, thread replies, and reactions
  • Split long Markdown responses and intentional outbound messages into ordered Slack-safe batches in the same conversation thread
  • Send Felan session output to a configured Slack destination
Felan can process relevant messages without an @mention in channels where the app receives message events. Adding the app to a channel gives it the context required for full channel interaction.

Troubleshooting

Felan does not see a channel message — Confirm that the Felan app is a member of the channel. Posting fails with a scope error — Reconnect Slack from Integrations to authorize the current app permissions. Replies appear outside the expected thread — Start the Felan request in the intended thread so its channel context includes the thread identifier.
