Common Questions

Is Felan a Claude Code alternative?

Yes, for teams that want background agents on models from more than one provider, or the whole platform on their own infrastructure. Both run agents from schedules and events and return pull requests for review.

Can Claude Code use models other than Claude?

No. Claude Code can reach Claude through Anthropic, Amazon Bedrock, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Foundry, but Anthropic does not support routing it to non-Claude models. Felan runs any major provider, plus local and private models.

Can I self-host Claude Code cloud sessions?

Partly. Self-hosted environments are in public beta on Team and Enterprise: your machines run the session, while prompts go to Anthropic for inference and orchestration stays on Anthropic's infrastructure. Felan Enterprise runs the whole platform on your infrastructure.

How does Felan pricing compare with Claude Code?

Claude Team is $20 per standard seat or $100 per premium seat each month, billed annually, with usage limits per seat. Felan Team is €99 a month for the whole team, and model usage is billed by your provider or through Felan credits at provider rates.

What about Claude Managed Agents?

Managed Agents is Anthropic's API for building your own agents. It bills Claude token rates plus $0.08 per running session-hour, and your team builds the product around it. Felan is a ready-made platform for coding agents.

When is Claude Code a better fit?

When your team has standardized on Claude and already pays for Claude seats, or when developers mainly want an agent in their own terminal and IDE.
